News, items of interest and happenings.:
The chapter was well represented at the Division One convention. The chapter took the Chapter of the Year Award (over 500 members) and Website of the Year Award. Recruiter of the Year went to Richard Dolbec.
The Chapter nominee from the 157th ARW, SRA Joshua Stewart won this year's First Term Airman Award and will be competing at the International convention in August. Best of luck - make us proud.
Ralph Appleby was chosen Division One Member of the Year. He was also awarded the Volunteer Service Person of the Year for his continuing work with the Veteran Home and Veterans Center.
At a ceremony in May at the state house Mr. Appleby received the Vaughn award senior volunteer of the year for Strafford county.
Auxiliary Awards: Division One Chapter of the Year to A155 at the 2010 Convention. In addition to Chapter of the Year (under 125 members). They took the 2010 Humanitarian Award and the 2010 Can Do Award.

Announcements:
Meetings: Chapter monthly meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 16:30, in Bldg. 149, Pease ANGB. (no meeting in August)
FREE PICNIC: The chapter has teamed up with the Air Force Reunion committee to hold a picnic at the Portsmouth Naval shipyard in Kittery, ME, Jamaica Island recreation area. It will be held Saturday August 28th starting at 11:00. You must register for this event by calling Ray Drapeau at 603-436-0880.
Email will also work at rddrapeau@comcast.net. Reminder you will need ID at the gate and a decal on the vehicle will also help. Must make your reservation no later than 20 August.
Air Show 2010 is 28 & 29 August at Pease entry and parking will cost $$. However, on Friday the 27th there will be a salute to local heroes, which will include a preview of the air show. For late breaking details see the chapter website AFSA155.org.
Retiree Activity Day (RAD) Northern New England Military RAD is Saturday 31 July 2010 at the NH National Guard Aviation facility Concord, NH. Registration 08:30 the program runs until 14:00. Yes there is food. The chapter will have a table come by and say hello.
Professional Airman's Conference & AFSA International Convention will be held 14 to 18 August at the Hyatt Regency, Atlanta, GA.
